Results of Repeater Work Day
Good Sunday all. I hope everybody is having a great weekend. Yesterday, Luci, KD5RIF, Caralyn, KE5YWN, Jimmy, KD5QHH, Hurshel, WB5MEX, Harvey, WB5MCT, and Bryan, KG5AUZ worked on the CCARC repeater. Ever since moving the repeater to the new location, we have been having issues with it. We have tried several times to correct the issue by fixing various things that we thought were the problem. Many times, we did end up fixing a problem but not the problem.

Amateur Radio: What is it and why do I care?
The amateur radio community does much more than just talk on radios to each other. Our main purpose in existing is to provide communications for community events (bike rides, parades, marathons, etc.) and major emergency situations such as extreme weather events (hurricanes, floods, etc.), interruptions in normal communications (such as the complete shut down of all telephone and internet connections, land line or cell, that occurred in Jackson County a few years ago), etc.
