Repeater: Harvey and Hurshel came out to Jimmy and Luci’s on April 30 to work on the repeater. The LMR 240 was replaced with half inch heliax and a new connector was placed on the antenna end of the heliax. Echolink was set up to voice ID once an hour and Harvey installed a VNC on the Echolink computer so that it can be accessed remotely should changes be required. Users will need to contact Jimmy to get the current IP address and password to log in through VNC. After some discussion regarding linking the 64 to the 3.8, the subject was informally tabled. Field Day: The club will have Field Day at the Busy Bee on June 25 and 26. Hurshel will finish getting the radio and computer ready this coming weekend. Repeater License: Hurshel will take care of renewing the license. New Business: Water Safari: Harvey coordinated shirt sizes and locations. There will be a preliminary race on Saturday if anyone wishes to watch. Donation of Alert radio (EAS unit): The Victoria Television group has offered to donate some Emergency Alert System radios to the club. These radios could be connected to the club repeater for weather alerting purposes. Since there are more radios than our club needs, we plan to offer the Victoria club some of them. Dave moved to accept the donation, second by Luci, motion passed. Jimmy moved to adjourn, second by Otto. Motion passed and meeting adjourned at 8:35 pm. Submitted by Luci Podsim, Secretary.
