Coleto Creek Amateur Radio Club Meeting Minutes October 2018 Attending: Jimmy Podsim - KD5QHH, Luci Podsim - KD5RIF, Dave Dodge - NV5C, Harvey Babb - WB5MCT, Brian Haun - KG5AUZ, Hurshel Pruitt - WB5MEX, Otto Bluntzer - WB2RJB and guest, Bethany Allen. Meeting called to order at 7:35 pm. Previous meeting minutes read. Otto moved to accept as read, second by Dave. Motion passed. Treasurer’s Report: No changes since last meeting. Balance is still $147.05. Harvey moved to accept, second by Jimmy. Motion passed. Public Relations: The club website will revert to the free version this month. The address will change from www.ccarc.info to www.ccarc.yorktown.wix.com/ccarc. It is also noted that the hit counter shows a large jump in recent visitors to the site. Points of Interest: Otto enjoyed listening in to Route 66 On The Air. Hurshel got 18 of the 20 stations along the route. Hurshel got 10 counties during the Texas QSL Party. Belton Hamfest will be October 5 and 6. The Boy Scout’s Jamboree On The Air will be the third weekend of October. Old Business: Testing: We will hold a testing session at next month’s meeting. Repeater: Harvey is still working on the idea of using a Raspberry Pi. Also, he tried to fix the repeater ID through Echolink but it did not work. He will schedule a trip to the ham shack sometime in the future to fix the issue. Trailer: Brian talked to the Co-op and was told that we can get the trailer weighed there. Dave is working on how to transport the trailer for weighing. Otto needs to move the generator. The members discussed ideas for mounting it to the trailer. Club Records: Otto has made good progress toward organizing the old club records. CoCoRhas: Otto has contacted Bull Runyon, the coordinator for Texas. He said that Goliad County and DeWitt County each need a director and more volunteers. New Business: Nominations for officer election. Dave nominated the current slate of officers for re-election.
