Previous meeting minutes read, Dave moved to accept as read, second by Brian. Motion passed. Treasurer’s Report: Collected $100.00 in dues, new bank total is 247.05. Jimmy moved to accept, second by Harvey, motion passed. Public Relations Report: Jimmy will pass along the club’s thanks to Cindi Smith for the plates and plastic ware. Points of Interest: The antenna for the .13 repeater has been installed on the Victoria Sheriff’s Department tower. The repeater is due to be moved soon. VARC is getting stuff together to replace the antenna at Citizen’s Hospital for the 443.800 and 146.700 repeaters. The Family Outdoor Expo was a great success until the the rain started in the afternoon, causing the event to close a little early. Old Business: Winter Field Day: We made more than 100 contacts, tested equipment and had a good time visiting and working the radios. The antenna trailer worked well, in spite of a few bugs, such as the need for a better pulley or a thicker rope. These problems will be addressed. The generators worked well after a little work. The need to anchor the radios in ET was identified as some of them fell and were jostled during the drive to the Field Day site. Computer in Shack: Still acting flaky. Hurshel still needs to look at it. Glen Futch is still thinking about fixing up a Raspberry Pi to replace the current computer. No new business. Jimmy moved to adjourn, second by Harvey. Motion passed and meeting adjourned at 8:00 pm.
