April Meeting Minutes

Coleto Creek Amateur Radio Club April 7, 2016 Meeting Minutes Attending: Jimmy Podsim - KD5QHH, Luci Podsim - KD5RIF, Otto Bluntzer - WB2RJB, Hurshel Pruitt - WB5MEX and Dave Dodge - NV5C Meeting called to order to 7:30 pm. Previous meeting minutes were read by Luci. Jimmy moved to accept as read, second by Otto, motion passed. Treasurer’s Report: We started with a balance of $169.76. We paid out $6.00 to renew ET’s registration and deposited $90.00 from dues and donations for a new total of $253.76. Luci moved to accept as reported, second by Jimmy, motion passed. Public Relations: Jimmy has made some posts on Facebook regarding the Belton Hamfest. Points of Interest: An ARRL sanctioned practice net is set to be held April 23 on 72.85. The Belton Hamfest will be April 16. Old business: Tower: At Harvey’s suggestion, the tower was offered to Otto who said that he would like to have it. Dave also expressed interest in a couple of sections. They will try to have it gone by the next meeting. Repeater: Possible workday on April 23 to change the LMR coax to heliax and fine tune Echolink. Harvey had sent an email regarding the bird meeter suggesting that we leave one in line so we can borrow a slug and do measurements whenever we want to. New Business: Field Day: Dave suggested that CCARC simply decide to have an event and invite the other clubs in the area to join us. Otto said that he may be able to get us in to Goliad State Park. Dave expressed doubts because the park may be in a hole. ET Radio: We need a workday to install the radio in ET prior to Water Safari. Club Repeater License: Our license will expire in July. We need to fill out a form 605 and find out if there are any fees for renewal. Dave made a motion that Hurshel handle the renewal and to authorize funds to cover any fees that may be required.
