October 2016 Meeting Minutes

Coleto Creek Amateur Radio Club Oct 6, 2016 Attending: Jimmy Podsim - KD5QHH, Luci Podsim - KD5RIF, Hurshel Pruitt - WB5MEX, Otto Bluntzer - WB2RJB. Guest: Ruth Bluntzer. Meeting called to order at 7:30 pm. Previous meeting minutes were read, Otto moved to accept as read, second by Jimmy, motion passed. Treasurer’s report: None, Treasurer absent. Public Relations: Jimmy said that he will not post club events on Facebook, he will post them on the club’s website instead and share them to Facebook from the blog. Points of Interest: Hurshel got all of the checkpoints except for Tuscon (Correction: The missed contact was Tulsa rather than Tuscon) in the 17th annual Route 66 on the Air event. The Texas QSL party was too noisy for anyone to participate. Old Business: Otto has organized the club records and only needs the recent minutes to complete the archives. Discussion regarding the antenna trailer was tabled again due to the absence of several club members. Disposition of the donated EAS radios is still pending contact. Otto has not had time to work on the generator. He has plans to consult with his brother-in-law regarding ideas for fixing it up. New Business: Payment on the club’s Wix account is due. Jimmy will get with Harvey on the subject. Otto nominated all current officers to the offices they currently hold. Jimmy moved to adjourn, second by Otto.
