Jimmy moved to accept, second by Brian, motion passed. Public Relations: It has been noted that the hit counter on the website continues to increase. Also, a new blog post has been written about the role of amateur radio in the Texas Water Safari and how events like this one help keep our skills sharp for emergencies. The blog was submitted to the Victoria Advocate for possible publishing. Points of Interest: The Midcoast Hurricane Conference will be April 19, 2017 from 8 am to 5 pm at the Victoria College Emerging Technology Complex. Old Business: ET: Nothing to report. Future plans simply have not been carried out yet. New Business: We need to do something to thank the church for allowing us to use their facilities. Since we also use the plates that they keep in stock, Luci suggested that we purchase a large pack of styrofoam plates to leave behind. David moved that we implement the suggestion, second by Otto, motion passed. Field Day: There was some discussion about having the event at the Busy Bee but, due to the absence of Harvey, the discussion was tabled. Also, VARC has not discussed their plans for Field Day and there is a strong possibility that we will be invited to join them. Motion to adjourn by Luci, second by Jimmy. Motion passed and meeting adjourned at 7:50 pm. Submitted by Luci Podsim, Secretary.
