Coleto Creek Amateur Radio Club Meeting Minutes January 4, 2018 Attending: Jimmy Podsim - KD5QHH, Luci Podsim - KD5RIF, Otto Bluntzer - WB2RGB, Brian Haun - KG5AUZ, Hurshel Pruitt - WB5MEX and Dave Dodge - NV5C Meeting called to order at 7:30 pm. Previous meeting minutes were read. Jimmy moved to accept as read, second by Otto, motion passed. Treasurer’s Report: We previously had $120.96 in the bank and $20 cash for a total of $140.96. Harvey was reimbursed $49 for the website dues giving us a new total of $71.96 in the bank and $20 cash equaling $91.96. Membership dues are due at this meeting. All members present paid. Jimmy moved to accept, second by Brian, motion passed. Public Relations: The website has been updated with the new address for our meetings. Points of Interest: The San Antonio Hamfest will be on the 13th in Shertz. The Belton Hamfest will be in February and the Midland Hamfest will be in March. The Family Outdoor Expo will be on February 3rd. Anyone wishing to participate in the event needs to go to www.familyoutdoorexpo.org and register as soon as possible to give time for the background check. Old Business: Antenna Trailer: Otto has a wheel for Dave to look at and see what can be worked out. Dave suggested buying tubes to put in the existing tires. The plywood has not been installed yet, it will be installed when the trailer is ready to roll. E. T.: The emergency communications trailer has held up well in the recent rainy weather with no leaks detected. Battery Charger: Nothing to report. .19 update: Harvey and Dave will go to the Boxcar soon and pick up the repeater. Meeting Location: General agreement among members present to make the move to the Trust Texas Bank conference room permanent. New Business: Jimmy proposed writing an article for the local paper thanking the Church for their hospitality in the past and thanking the bank for their hospitality in the future. He also proposed writing a letter to be delivered to the Church expressing our gratitude. He will plan on doing this in his capacity as Public Relations Officer. Winter Field Day will be on the last full weekend of January. The club discussed whether or not we wish to participate in the event. Dave made a motion that we participate in any area activities that may come up in conjunction with other area clubs or, if nothing else comes up, plan to do the event ourselves. Luci seconded the motion, motion passed. Luci moved to adjourn, second by Dave. Motion passed and meeting adjourned at 8:25 pm. Submitted by Luci Podsim, Secretary.
