Meeting Minutes

February 4, 2021

The meeting was held over the air on the Yorktown repeater.

Attending: Jimmy Podsim - KD5QHH, Luci Podsim - KD5RIF, Bryan Haun - KG5AUZ, and Hurshel Pruitt - WB5MEX

Meeting called to order at 7:30 pm by Hurshel. Previous 11-5-20 meeting minutes were read by Bryan Haun. Luci moved and Jimmy seconded for their approval. They were accepted by common consent.

Treasurer’s Report: No report was given as Dave was absent.

Public Relations: Jimmy stated the website counter keeps going up and showed about 15,000 hits. There was some explanation of how it counts.

It was noted that the Family Outdoor Expo will be this coming weekend but we do not have anyone able to attend. Sign-ups closed this past Tuesday.

Points of Interest: None.

Old Business: Bryan reported that he had spoken with Cyndi last week and she said she will order the antenna and pay for the installation. We are getting closer as the FCC has approved the needed repeater pairs for DeWitt County. The SO is already using one pair. The other two will be for the Fire Departments and EMS. He also asked Johnny Jank at Golden Crescent Communications if he knew the antenna height they approved for us but has not received an answer yet. They will provide uninterruptable power for us but it is unknown if there is internet access at the site. Jimmy stated that he has a device we could use for radio control.

New Business:

Jimmy questioned how we should pay dues since we are not meeting in person. Bryan suggested asking Dave if he wants them mailed to him or if we should continue waiting to meet in person.

Bryan moved to adjourn, second by Jimmy. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 7:51 pm.
