Meeting Minutes

March 3, 2021

The meeting was held over the air on the Yorktown repeater.

Attending: Jimmy Podsim - KD5QHH, Luci Podsim - KD5RIF, Bryan Haun - KG5AUZ, Hurshel Pruitt - WB5MEX, Harvey Babb – WB5MCT, Otto Bluntzer – WB2RJB, and Dave Dodge – NV5C.

Meeting called to order at 7:30 pm by Hurshel. Previous 2-4-21 meeting minutes were read by Bryan Haun. Jimmy requested a correction of the website counter from 15,000 to 1,500. Jimmy moved and Otto seconded for their approval as corrected. They were accepted by common consent.

Treasurer’s Report: Dave reported that we have $437.05 in the bank plus $15 in dues which have not been deposited. Bryan moved and Jimmy seconded for their approval. They were accepted by common consent.

Public Relations: Jimmy reported that the blog is working again although it looks a little different, especially when posting.

Points of Interest:

The Kiwanis Bike Ride in Victoria will be held March 20 and will have 5 sag stops. Contact Bob – KI5PG@ARRL.net if you can help.

The Victoria club will be hosting a test session for all classes on March 13 at 8:00am at the Detar North Training Room. Contact Bob at the address above if you plan to test.

Old Business: Bryan reported that he had no update from the county on the repeater move. They are still not using the new tower for Fire nor EMS. Jimmy reported that he and Harvey had looked at the repeater and it needs a little work on the receive side of the cans.

New Business:

Jimmy brought up the issue of paying dues. Dave said that since we currently have sufficient funds and no pressing expenses that we can just wait until we meet in person to pay dues.

Jimmy moved to adjourn, second by Otto. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 7:55 pm.
