Meeting Minutes

May 5, 2022

The meeting was held at TrustTexas Bank Community Room in Yorktown.

Attending: Hurshel Pruitt - WB5MEX, Bryan Haun – KG5AUZ, Jimmy Podsim – KD5QHH, Luci Podsim – KD5RIF, Otto Bluntzer – WB2RJB, Harvey Babb – WB5MCT, and Gilbert Gibbs – WA5YKK.

Meeting called to order at 7:30 pm by Hurshel. Previous 4-7-22 meeting minutes were read by Bryan Haun. Luci moved and Gil seconded for their approval. Motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report: Dave was absent but no activity was known to have occurred.

Public Relations: None.

Old Business:

Bryan reported that he received the Memorandum of Understanding back from Hurshel and needed to get Dave to sign it yet before returning it. Bryan has a new Comet GP-9 antenna ready to go. We should be able to use existing feed line but we need Golden Crescent Communications to help with the antenna installation.

Otto completed a list of the equipment received from the silent key in Nordheim and determined it is valued at $2,400. A letter with the value was sent to the donor’s family.

New Business:

Dave will get tags for ET so it can be used at the FM 236 site for Water Safari.

Harvey noted that Jimmy, Luci, and Carolyn will man the FM 236 location and Bryan the FM 766 site. He heard that the bridge may be scheduled for replacement and the location may have to change to Highway 72. He still needs volunteers further down the river. The event is June 11-13 for our section of the river. He also reported that Victoria will have Field Day at Darrell Klimitchek’s place at Mission Valley. Jimmy moved and Luci seconded for us to join them. Motion carried.

There will be no meetings in June and July.

Luci moved to adjourn, second by Gil. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 8:03 pm.
