Meeting Minutes

May 4, 2023

The meeting was held at TrustTexas Bank Community Room in Yorktown.

Attending: Hurshel Pruitt - WB5MEX, Jimmy Podsim – KD5QHH, Luci Podsim – KD5RIF, Dave Dodge – NV5C, Harvey Babb – WB5MCT and guest Brad Howard - N5LZY, Otto Bluntzer – WB2RJB, Bryan Haun – KG5AUZ, and Gil Gibbs - WA5YKK and guest Johnny Brown.

Meeting called to order at 7:30 pm by Hurshel. Previous 3-3-23 meeting minutes were read by Bryan. Harvey moved and Jimmy seconded for their approval. Motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report: Dave presented the report. No activity since last report. Balance is $627.05. Bryan received $15 dues from Brad Howard and turned in $20 from an unknown source. Luci moved Otto seconded for approval. Motion carried.

Public Relations: Jimmy noted that there was only one spam on Facebook, and he was able to delete it quickly.

Points of Interest: Shiner repeater 147.06 was added to the Crossroads linked system.

Old Business:

Hurshel reported no progress on ’64 coordination reinstatement. The sale of ET is still on hold as Dave is not ready yet to complete the purchase. Bryan had no update on finding a tower climber to facilitate the repeater move.

New Business: Harvey reported that Water Safari is June 10-14. The 72 checkpoint is moved back to 766 (Cheapside) since the bridge replacement is complete. He has basic coverage for Hochheim to the finish line but could use some relief for several stations.

Summer Field Day is June 24 & 25. We will go along with Victoria with more plans to be discussed during Monday nets.

Luci moved to adjourn, second by Bryan. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 8:03 pm.
