Meeting Minutes

November 5, 2020

The meeting was held over the air on the Yorktown repeater.

Attending: Jimmy Podsim - KD5QHH, Luci Podsim - KD5RIF, Bryan Haun - KG5AUZ, Hurshel Pruitt - WB5MEX, Harvey Babb – WB5MCT, and Ottto Bluntzer – WB2RJB.

Meeting called to order at 7:30 pm by Hurshel. Previous 10-1-20 meeting minutes were read by Bryan Haun. Jimmy moved and Harvey seconded for their approval. They were accepted by common consent.

Treasurer’s Report: No report was given as Dave was absent.

Public Relations: Jimmy had no report.

Points of Interest: Jimmy reported that the Family Outdoor Expo was coming up on February 4 in Victoria. Anyone interested in helping could contact John in Victoria or sign up online at Familyoutdoorexpo.org.

Old Business: Bryan reported that he had no further update on the repeater move and that he still needed to tell Cyndi what kind of antenna we want so she can order it so it will be available when the installer is ready. Jimmy stated that he heard the dispatcher telling someone to go to the other channel for testing.

New Business: Election of officers

Harvey moved that that nominations cease, seconded by Jimmy. Motion passed.

Jimmy moved to accept the slate of officers by acclamation, seconded by Ottto. Motion passed.

The following officers were reelected:

President – Hurshel Pruitt

Vice President – Harvey Babb

Secretary – Bryan Haun

Treasurer – Dave Dodge

Public Relations Officer – Jimmy Podsim

Jimmy brought up the Christmas party for consideration. The regular meeting place will not be available. Otto moved to cancel, seconded by Bryan. Motion carried.

Harvey moved to allow Brenson from Victoria to have access to our website to help get it updated. Bryan seconded and the motion carried.

Otto moved to adjourn, second by Jimmy. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 7:50 pm.
