Meeting Minutes

September 2, 2021

The meeting was held over the air on the Yorktown repeater.

Attending: Jimmy Podsim - KD5QHH, Luci Podsim - KD5RIF, Hurshel Pruitt - WB5MEX, Dave Dodge – NV5C, Bryan Haun – KG5AUZ, Otto Bluntzer – WB2RJB, and Harvey Babb – WB5MCT.

Meeting called to order at 7:30 pm by Hurshel. Previous 8-5-21 meeting minutes were read by Bryan Haun. Jimmy offered an addition that Harvey’s dues were covered by the club for in appreciation of him covering the web hosting. Jimmy moved and Otto seconded for their approval. Motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report: Dave reported that he had not been to the bank so there was no change. Luci moved and Jimmy seconded to approve his report. Motion carried.

Public Relations: Jimmy continues posting interesting tidbits on the Facebook group.

Points of Interest: Hurshel reported that Route 66 On The Air will be held on Sept. 11-19 using call signs W6A – W6Z. Texas QSO Party would be Sept. 18-19 and the Belton Hamfest will be in October

.

Old Business: Hurshel reported that discussion of any action on the trailers had been tabled. It was decided to keep it tabled but for everyone to keep searching for a suitable utility trailer. Jimmy has the new license tag but will hold on to it.

Bryan reported that he sent an email to Johnny Jank and copied Judge Fowler asking about an update on the repeater move but still no response.

Jimmy noted that it would be good to get Echolink working on the Yorktown repeater so that Harvey could get in better. He and Harvey will see what they can do.

New Business: None.

Luci moved to adjourn, second by Bryan. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 7:47 pm.
