Coleto Creek Amateur Radio Club April 5, 2018 Attending: Jimmy Podsim - KD5QHH, Luci Podsim - KD5RIF, Dave Dodge - NV5C, Brian Haun - KG5AUZ, Otto Bluntzer - WB2RJB and Hurshel Pruitt - WB5MEX Meeting called to order at 7:30 pm. Previous meeting minutes were read. Dave moved to accept as read, second by Jimmy, motion passed. Treasurer’s report: No Change since last meeting, we have $159.50. Jimmy moved to accept, second by Otto, motion passed. Public Relations: Nothing to report. Points of Interest: Belton Hamfest will be April 6 & 7. Old Business: Antenna Trailer: Otto has installed the tubes in the tires and noted that the rubber on the tires is very hard. He sprayed them with a silicone spray and they are some better. However, he strongly recommends that we replace the tires and keep the old ones for spares. Also, Otto looked at the wheel bearings and noted that they needed cleaning and lubrication. He has done the cleaning. Finally, he noted that the brakes on the trailer are not operational. Battery Charger: Hurshel and Dave have batteries to use and the charger is at Jimmy’s house. We just need a relay from Harvey and to choose a date to install everything. Computer for ET: Hurshel is still working on this. Radios in ET: Some of them work and some of them don’t. We need to do something with them. Discussion tabled for future meeting. New Business: We need to think about who can take the job of Secretary when the elections come up again.
