October Meeting Minutes
Coleto Creek Amateur Radio Club Meeting Minutes October 5, 2017 Attending: Jimmy Podsim - KD5QHH, Luci Podsim - KD5RIF, Otto Bluntzer - WB2RJB, Dave Dodge - NV5C, Hurshel Pruitt - WB5MEX and Harvey Babb - WB5MCT The meeting was called to order at 7:33 pm. Previous meeting minutes read. Dave moved to accept as read, second by Jimmy, motion passed. Treasurer’s Report - We have $120.96 in the bank and $20 cash for a total of $140.96. Otto moved to accept, second by Harvey, motion passed. Public Relations - The hit counter on the website continues to go up, it is clear that someone finds our website useful enough to visit on a regular basis. We received an e-mail from one of the VOIP net controls thanking us for participating in the Hurricane Harvey storm net. Points of interest - The Belton Hamfest will be this coming Saturday, October 7, 2017. The Goliad Tour de Missions Bike Ride will be October 21. The VARC has decided against officially participating. Anyone wishing to volunteer should contact Stacy Weaver. Old Business: E T Computer: Hurshel has not had time to get with Larry Gohmert as of this meeting. Antenna Trailer: Otto and his son removed rust and primed it for painting. They made a base plate with a hinge to attach the tower pieces to. Otto recommended that the club purchase pressure treated plywood for the floor at an approximate cost of $40. Harvey moved to authorize the purchase, second by Jimmy, motion passed. Battery Charger: Harbor Freight has not been open since the storm. Harvey will continue to monitor for a good sale. New Business: Officer nominations: Hurshel opened nominations for next year’s officers. Jimmy nominated everyone for their current positions; President, Hurshel Pruitt - WB5MEX, Vice President, Harvey Babb - WB5MCT, Treasurer, Dave Dodge - NV5C, Secretary, Luci Podsim - KD5RIF and Public Relations, Jimmy Podsim - KD5QHH. Website: Website dues are coming up. Harvey will cover and submit the expense to the club for reimbursement. Jimmy moved to adjourn, second by Harvey, motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 8:25 pm.
